Londoners speak up about climate change

2012

Alongside Michael Pinsky’s light installation, Plunge, artists’ collective DARTER (Chloe Cooper, Phoebe Davies and Louisa Martin) asked Londoners to express their opinions and ideas on how we adapt to the changing face of our city.

DARTER took to the streets and worked with schools, shops, businesses and other organisations to uncover and expose Londoners’ opinions on climate change and how art and creativity can be part of the solution. From gargling choirs to human billboards DARTER undertook unconventional approaches to one of the biggest issues facing us this century.

Each day DARTER featured a new submission or response to climate change along with a provocation to get people thinking and involved in the climate change discussion.

For the 26 days Plunge illuminated London, DARTER hosted workshops, interventions and an online platform for submissions of work.
